We're a warm & welcoming group that'll make you feel right at home. In fact, many of our members first joined by themselves and found lots of new friends (even love!) at Funbase.

Yes. You have to be at least 18 years to join Funbase. This is the one space exclusively for the big kids. :)

No! You do not need a membership to join Funbase. Both the monthly party on Saturday and sporadic Game Nights can be joined without a membership. You can sign up for those events and join the fun!

The monthly parties are the best way to get to know Funbase and try it out for the first time. These parties also usually have a special theme and extra fun activities. The Game Nights are more casual and are for playing games with the community and getting to know each other.

Some events can be members-only. It's clearly stated on the event page if that's the case. So check out the Events page for more information about the event you're interested in.

A membership gives you free access to our monthly party on Saturday, and some other perks, like a discount on food and drinks. Check our Membership page for more information.

A ticket for our monthly party on Saturday usually costs €17,50. This does not include food and drinks. When it's your first time, you get a 20% discount, so it's €14,–.

A ticket for our sporadic Casual Game Night costs €10,–. As the name suggests, this is a more casual event where we play tabletop and video games.

You can get a Funbase membership for €19,95 a month, which gives you access to all monthly parties and sporadic Casual Game Nights. It also gives some other perks, like a discount on food and drinks, a 20% discount on special events and more.

Yes, you have to sign up on our website to join a Funbase event. You can do this on the Events page.

We have a limit on the amount of people who can access the space at the same time. To avoid it getting too crowded, we need to know how many people are joining. We also need this information to stock up on the right amount of snacks and drinks.

No, we do not ask for a payment upfront. You can pay for your ticket, food and drinks before you leave the venue. Payment can be done by card, so no need to bring cash!

Some special events do however require you to pay upfront. That's usually the case with meetups outside of Funbase, like doing some laser tag, an escape room or something similar. If that's the case, it'll be stated on the event page.

Yes, you are allowed to bring your own snacks and drinks to Funbase. You're even allowed to consume them on the premises. We sell some snacks and drinks at the venue itself that are there for your convenience, but if you want to have something specific, it's best to bring your own.

However, alcohol isn't allowed! So bringing and drinking that on the premises is forbidden.

No, we do not serve alcohol and you aren't allowed to consume it on our premises. We don't think alcohol is the right fit for Funbase and we therefore don't have a liquor license.

Of course! We open our doors at 14:00 on Saturdays (once a month), but that doesn't mean you have to be in at exactly that time. Join us whenever it suits you best.

It's good to note that we serve or order dinner at around 18:00. The rest of the day you're free to do and play whatever you want. The program for the day can be found on the event page.

This depends on the type of event. Usually we have a maximum of 9 friends you can bring. Funbase HQ has a capacity of 50 people, so check the specific event page to see how many people already signed up. You're more than welcome to bring friends, colleagues or family.

We're located in the buzzing Amsterdam North district, at walking distance from Amsterdam Central Station. You get to the North district with the Buiksloterweg ferry that leaves every 10 minutes from Central Station and from there it's just a short walk to Funbase HQ. You can also take Metro 52 (Noord-Zuidlijn) to Noorderpark and walk from there.

Funbase is also easily accessible by car. It's a 10 minute drive after you leave the A10. Just follow the directions Google Maps gives you and you'll be fine.

When you get to Asterweg 20, simply follow the yellow lines on the road until you get to a playground. Enter the gate and Funbase will be on your left.

We used to have free parking at the door, but we now have a license plate based system on our parking lot. We can therefore only offer you free parking when you have a membership. So if you don't have a membership you can park outside the gates in one of the streets. This costs €1,40 per hour between 9:00 and 19:00.

We carefully curate the games in our collection. There's something in there for everyone; from quick & easy social deduction games to more complex strategy games for the hardcore tabletop player.
